Full Circle Family

Meet some of the members of our Full Circle Family:

Morgana the “nerd”

I could start this out similar to an AA meeting “Hi I’m Laury/Morgana, and I am a geek”. But geek does not even begin to cover it. I’ve been forced over the past months to accept that I am, in fact, a nerd. And I’m ok with it, I’m embracing it. Its just one of the things that makes me “me”. I’ve travelled a long path to find where I belong in this world, “the meaning of it all”. Whether I’ll ever reach that point is a mystery. In the meantime, I play the following roles: mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, geek, nerd, gamer girl, over-thinker. There are reasons I am referred to as So-Crates and Padawan. While there are things I am knowledgeable about, there are things that I have yet to learn. In the end, that’s all life is about..

You can find more from Morgana on her website Abyss of the Violet Flame.

Cootie, the skullie painter.

Hi y’all, my name is Cootie.  Well, my Momma named me Hannah, but most everyone except for her calls me Cootie these days. I like to paint skulls. Not REAL skulls, mind you (though if that’s ever a viable option I will probably jump on it), plaster skulls. I also make jewelry & I sew. I’m really crafty in general.
I love music and have a pretty wide range of musical taste. I listen to everything from NOFX to Alexisonfire to Johnny Cash to Tori Amos to Ozzy Osbourne to Nirvana to Amanda Fucking Palmer to The Decemberists and just about everything in between. Just about.
I love to read, but I’m kinda particular. I am not what I would call an “avid” reader. When I do read, it’s mostly non-fiction. Joseph Campbell is my favorite, although most of the time I feel like I’m in over my head when reading him… like his work is meant to be chewed & digested on many levels of my Spirit rather than just read & understood.  Neil Gaiman is about the only fiction writer I can say that I love… in fact, no one else comes to mind, so I guess you could say he’s the only fiction writer I love. Although, my Beloved has me reading Kurt Vonnegut Jr. currently so Neil may have some company soon. Grant Morrison taught me more about shamanism & magick in The Invisibles series than pretty much anything else I’ve ever read.
I am lucky enough to have found the perfect partner and between us we are lucky enough to have two amazing children. We live together at Sanctuary 7 in Knoxville, TN. One day, in about 4 years, we plan to relocate to a little coastal town in North Carolina.
I believe in a lot of things that a lot of people don’t. Or, at least, won’t admit that they do. I’m pretty superstitious. I knock on wood & throw spilled salt over my left shoulder. I like to paint hexes.
My mind is running on about 5 different tracks at any given point in any given day.
I love my Life.
